About Michèle

Care that comes
from the heart.

Michèle Hutchinson is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over eight years of clinical experience — five years as an ICU RN and three years in family and pediatric practice. She now brings that depth of care directly to patients as a mobile wound care specialist.

Michèle trained alongside expert wound care physicians and specializes in advanced wound care including the use of regenerative biologic grafts. She works with Medicare and other insurance plans, and partners with home health agencies and skilled nursing facilities across Orange County.

Her path to this work is deeply personal. As a mother of two — including a daughter navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis — Michèle understands what it means to fight for the people you love. That same sincerity, grace, and determination is what her patients experience every visit.

01
Wound Assessment & Care Planning

Comprehensive evaluation and customized treatment plans for chronic and complex wounds.

What Assessment Involves

A thorough wound assessment goes well beyond appearance. Michèle evaluates wound dimensions, tissue type, exudate, periwound skin, vascular status, pain, and the patient's overall health — then builds a personalized care plan that guides every subsequent visit.

What Gets Documented

  • Wound size, depth & staging
  • Tissue and drainage characteristics
  • Contributing factors (diabetes, circulation, nutrition)
  • Short- and long-term healing goals
02
Wound Bed Preparation & Debridement

Removal of nonviable tissue to promote healing and reduce infection risk.

Clinical wound care — professional wound treatment

Why It Matters

Dead or damaged tissue blocks healing and creates a breeding ground for bacteria. Debridement removes that barrier so healthy tissue can form. It's often the single most important step in getting a stalled wound moving again.

Methods Used

  • Sharp debridement (scalpel or scissors)
  • Enzymatic debridement (topical agents)
  • Mechanical debridement (irrigation)
  • Autolytic debridement (moisture-retentive dressings)
03
Regenerative Biologic Grafts

Application of amniotic tissue grafts to support closure of chronic, non-healing wounds including diabetic ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries, and post-surgical wounds.

About Amniotic Grafts

Amniotic tissue grafts are regenerative biologic products derived from human placental membranes. They provide a natural scaffold of growth factors and structural proteins that promote cellular migration, new blood vessel formation, and tissue repair — creating an optimal environment for healing in wounds that haven't responded to standard therapy.

Common Applications

  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Venous leg ulcers
  • Pressure injuries (Stage 3 & 4)
  • Post-surgical wounds
04
Ongoing Wound Management

Follow-up care and dressing changes to support consistent, measurable healing over time.

Consistent Care, Measurable Progress

Healing doesn't happen in a single visit. Michèle returns on a scheduled basis to monitor progress, adjust dressings, and modify the care plan as the wound evolves — coordinating closely with referring providers and home health agencies throughout.

Ongoing Services Include

  • Dressing selection & changes
  • Infection monitoring & prevention
  • Progress documentation & reporting
  • Care plan adjustments as healing advances
